"My biggest letdown about the flick was the battle between Dr. Doom and the FF. Before it even got going, it was over! I was expecting a comeback by Dr. Doom when the credits started rolling."

I agree. Once everyone gets back to terra firma, a good deal of the movie is the buildup to the eventual confrontation with Doctor Doom. Victor's transformation, spying on Reed and Sue, selecting the weapons he'll use to defeat Johnny and Reed, manipulating Ben, it's all leading up to what could (and should) have been a huge battle. Instead, it's all over in a matter of minutes. That was probably the single biggest disappoinment of the movie.

To me, the end of the movie suggests that Doom is on his way to Latveria, the country of his birth. If all goes well, he'll use his new powers to overthrow the government there. Once seated on the throne, he'll have all the resources of the country at his command, and he'll use them to create an army of green-robed warriors (and more importantly, Doombots!) to fight the Fantastic Four.

If the sequel follows that storyline, the battles should be much more satisfying.

On the other hand, they could just drop Galactus into the mix the next time around. But don't count on it.

Saw this movie the other day with the family unit - quite entertaining. McKenzie was rather bored for the first 20 minutes, but a shot of Coca-Cola cured that. Once the caffeine and sugar kicked in, her reactions to the movie were more entertaining than the movie itself!

Oh, well. Guess I'll catch it in the sequel...
