I find it amusing that Kentucky Fried Chicken is using Lynyrd Skynyrd’s “Sweet Home Alabama” for the music in one of their television ads.

Well, because it’s not Alabama Fried Chicken, is it?

I learnt years ago that the ‘chicken’ part of KFC is nothing more than a front; KFC actually stands for “Known For Cocaine”
NOTHING gets by me.
-
So what are the ten other secret herbs and spices?

You didn’t know?
There are people from Alabama everywhere. It makes them feel goood. And they buy a lot of chicken. Or something like that.

KF’nC, dude.

I heard, from the younger twin, that KFC had to change their name from Kentucky Fried Chicken to KFC, because they use genetically modified chicken, and apparently Kentucky Fried Genetically Modified Chicken (or KFGMC) just didn’t sound right. Nor does it roll off the tounge as well as KFC…

Yeah, that’s pretty much an urban legend. Whatever the name of the company is, their product is always advertised as “chicken.” You’ll also notice that the company has begun calling itself “Kentucky Fried Chicken” again.
There was another such legend floating around in the mid-90’s that revolved around the Commonwealth of Kentucky requiring that KFC pay for the use of “Kentucky” in the name.
Methinks the real culprit is the word “Fried,” which fell out of vogue a while back when fried foods were being blamed for everything from obesity to poor gas mileage.

Looks like I was anonymizing again earlier.
I heard, from the younger twin…
Don’t forget the influence of her ‘significant other’, aka TechnoHippyBiker.

Then again, if you read Don’t Eat This Book, you will note there is much blame still being bandied about.

What? The younger twin may have been influenced by TechnoHippyBiker? I don’t believe it! Nope, not my sister…
-
I see his influence has spread farther than I originally assumed.
This may call for more drastic measures.

It’s all a bunch of baloney (i.e. cow’s and pig’s feet, tails, anuses…)

If by influenced you mean: helped to find more information than previously acquired about things in life that most people take at face value, then yes I am guilty.

No, I’m not.

TechnoHippyBiker is correct!

Slapfight!

Karen sez,

Sounds like you’ve been ‘eating’ at KFC!!

I could be mistaken, but not at KFC. The “C” being either chicken parts, or, according to KJWon, cocaine.

Excellent.

Let me try this again: No, I don’t. There, that looks better and makes sense.
I’m sure you are aware that your sphere of influence transcends the boundaries of your Crusade. Were it limited to that… big deal. Some good might even come out of it.
