  Looking like an eight-color box of crayons barfed on the podrace from Star Wars Episode I: The Phantom Menace, Speed Racer is fast, flashy and would have been a lot of fun to watch in the theater. It was a bit difficult to follow some of the racing action on the small screen, but Speed Racer made for a fun popcorn movie nonetheless.

  The Bank Job is an interesting beast: a heist movie that threatens to stumble into farce territory until about two-thirds of the way through when the tone turns very dark and Jason Statham turns into a total badass, 1970s criminal version of Jason Bourne.
