Perhaps Feedback is paying homage to the genesis of video games when he cites Pong as his favorite, but the medium has been virtually reinvented at least half a dozen times in the the past thirty-four years; surely there must be another game — perhaps one even fourth graders would recognize — from which the hero could draw his power.

Draw your power from the source, man!

Regardless of how many times the medium has been reinvented, pure unadulterated power comes from the source. All other transmogrified versions are tainted.

[Comment ID #3286 Will Be Quoted Here]

There's no question that video gamers owe a lot to Pong, not to mention a host of other games that broke any number of technological and stylistic barriers since a ball first bounced off a pixelated paddle.

If Pong was one of the original video games (if not the original), and one gets their power from video games, wouldn’t it be a bit short-sighted not to recognize its significance?

Just reading your reviews of this series is enough, I am left with no desire to watch.
