Welcome to Parenthood: Nine Months
When my young apprentice emerged from his growth chamber, we made an agreement: if, after spending equal amounts of time inside and outside of said chamber, either of us felt that further gestation was warranted, he would immediately be returned to the growth chamber for a period to be decided at the time of demergence.1
Per our agreement, Kyle and I conducted our nine month evaluation on Friday the 13th of this month, and we have both arrived at the conclusion that no further gestation will be necessary. Laura received this announcement with no small measure of relief.
- I know, “demergence” isn’t a real word; but it sounds better than “re-insertion”. [back]

My Favourite Canadian and I discussed bringing back one of ours ‘under warranty’.
Turns out there is no warranty. No deposit, no return.
Welcome to parenthood indeed, the best is yet to come.
Excellent. So when will we see 2.0?
*ducks*

We’ve found no compatibility or security issues with 1.0, nor does he appear to be lacking any of our required or desired features. We have no immediate plans for a new release.
Awe, congrats :-). Wait until your young apprentice hits his terrible twos and thinks he knows better than you. Come to think of it, my five year old apprentice still thinks he knows better than me, but he’s learning ;-).

Totally besides the point.
With this system you keep 1.0 even after the release of 2.0.
It is not a replacement, it is not an upgrade. It is synergistic.

From what I understand, though, maintenance and support issues become an increasing burden as the number of simultaneous instances grows. Not in a linear fashion, thankfully, but still something to consider.
I sure hope you got a virus blocker…

Through version 4.0 the maintenance costs and time involvment do increase, as you stated, on a non-linear curve. According to my sources, after that it becomes more a question of berth space.
Wow. Who let all the nerds in here?
Independent of this post KJ and I discovered the other day that our babies were born 3 days apart. Considering the pain Alexis put her mother through (almost 9 pounds at birth), I’d be killed for even joking about this plan.
Well! Auntie BeeJa just has to say that it is about *damn* time that you posted a recent picture of the young apprentice. You know, some of us don’t get to see the mostest cutest (that’s right that’s exactly what I meant to say) on a regular basis!
Btw, does Friday the 13th happen every nine months???

All were invited.
Besides, you attract what you are.
