NaNoWriMo 2006, Day 02: Baby Steps

There were three times as many non-adults than I am used to in my living room when I got home from work this afternoon, and the two that were not Kyle were very noisy, which did not create an environment conducive to writing.

The extraneous children are gone now, and I was able to increase my total word count to 1,674. This puts me almost exactly one day behind. There will be some opportunity to catch up over the weekend, but there will also be a trip to Con on the Cob on Saturday. As Chris Miller and I will both be attending the con, we are providing Team ISBW with a golden opportunity to increase their already-substantial lead in the ISBW/HHM Word War that is now underway at The NanoMonkeys website.

Speaking of NanoMonkeys, our podcast for day three of NaNoWriMo was posted a couple of hours ago. The topic is sprints and — in the spirit of the topic — it is short and quick.
