That's for the tip Taras. The problem was action the &lt;a href="http://www.blog.mediaprojekte.de/" rel="nofollow"&gt;King Framework&lt;/a&gt; plugin that, due to a couple of typos in one of the PHP files, prevents you from dragging and dropping sidebar widgets in the admin screen after upgrading to WordPress 2.1. 

I was trying to track down the widget problem and installed &lt;a href="http://www.silpstream.com/blog/" rel="nofollow"&gt;WP-Scriptaculous&lt;/a&gt;, which fixed sidebar widgets but broke Slightbox. After uninstalling WP-Scriptaculous I was able to track down and fix the King Framework bug and everything now seems to be working!</description>
