I just witnessed what may be the dumbest bleep in the history of bleeps.
The show: Comedy Central Presents.
The comedienne: Megan Mooney.
The joke: Dad calls Megan and her sister “ladies”. “Thanks a lot, coach,” Megan says.
The bleep: “You just earned yourself another clipboard for Father’s Day, a-<bleep>.”
Now, I want to point out that Megan did not say “ass”; she said “a”. A-hole. She censored her own joke.
And they bleeped the “hole”.

for some reason, ass is okay, but asshole is not. You see, the entire ass is fine–just the part that does work is too nasty for prime time.
I think Comedy Central has gone insane in general. A repeat of an old Hollow Men sketch where they sit around talking about how certain products make you gay to the protestation of an actual gay man they bleeped the word “Balls”. Granted it was used to refer to a part of the male sexuality, but still!
Yet Comedy Central shows South Park?
A dear friend of mine from Mexico hada self censoring goof, much to the amusement of all present. She was talking about someone who had been giving her a really hard time and she referred to him as a “dick you-know-what”.
Comedy Central is also the network that seems to think airing the South Park movie without bleeps at 1AM on Sunday makes them edgy.
OMG, I totally heard that guy say the F-word while everyone was sleeping that time!
