Number three was supposed to be "tune" out, saw it as it was leaving
I fixed it for you.

If I had six kids, I'm sure I'd learn to tune things out, too. Actually, if I was married to Dad, I'd probably have learned to tune certain things out long before kid number six arrived. ;-)

OK this is something I had to put my comments on.
1. I can (most of the time) read anywhere, anytime, try to never go anywhere without a book So if I have to wait for a few minutes or for a much longer time anywhere, I can pass the time without twitching or going crazy. The reason I can do this is I had six kids and if I wanted to read (and I always did) I had to learn to "tune" out a lot of things. This is the basic reason I consider myself to still be relatively sane. I might be fooling myself tho. Even tho the kids are grown and mostly gone, I still have the occational reason to "tune" out everything, if anyone can believe that!
2. Most relaxing places to read would be the recliner I sit in in the living room or the bedroom, in bed.
3. Some questions, I just "tune" out.

Alas, there's no closet in my office, so the one litter box sits in the far corner while the other is next to the fireplace (which I never use; the fireplace, I mean, although I never use the litter box, either).

My trouble with reading in bed is that by the time I get to bed I'm usually ready to fall asleep. We've got a couple of husband pillows, so I suppose I could sit up and read if I really wanted to.

Finally, music teachers are just weird in general. ;-)

1. Mostly in bed. However, upon occasion, I partake in said activity at work. Also, upon rarer occasion (when there are no leftovers, or on leftovers deemed edible for lunch) I head over to a local cafe and read.

2. Nothing "special" per se. My only requirements are a.) it is relatively quiet, b.) comfortable, and c.) has enough light to make out the words on the pages.

3.) If nature calls whilst I am in a good part of whatever I am reading. Otherwise, no, not really. I would have to agree with blob on this one. I had a music teacher once that divulged to us that he was forced to use a book as a wiping utensil once. He also mentioned that he felt it necessary to read each page before using it too. :-S

On a side note, out cat's WC is also in our office... in the closet. Why is that just the natural place for such things? I mean, he doesn't even shut the door when working on his business. I had offered him something to read at one point, but he refused. Bah, cats. I think if we did keep his food in there as well, he would be in seventh heaven - minimal walking distance between input and output.
1. In bed
2. No
3. Occasionally, but usually just checking Scene for band listings. On the other hand, I don't tend to think of bathroom reading as inherently unsanitary as long as everything goes in the right direction and one puts the book down before wiping.

* I was never very good at essay questions

** Also, would it be possible to put the litter box(es) /in/ the crawl space? Inconvenient for cleaning, sure, but I doubt the cats would mind.
The cats are unaware of the crawlspace, and we've gone to some lengths to ensure that they remain unaware of it, as they have plenty of hiding places already and adding an entire subterranean chamber to their territory just seems like a bad idea.
