Ah, but you keep trying, and that’s important. We both know there’s a novel rattling around in our brains waiting to be written and we’re willing to spend thirty days out of every year in the public eye trying to bring it into the light.

I can’t really make a claim to endurance, as evidenced by my four previous failed attempts (including last year). If anything, I’m a glutton for punishment. Perhaps “persistance in the face of repeated failure” is a nicer phrase, but that comes awfully close to some definitions of insanite.

As to puissance, if my efforts compel, coerce or even inspire others to join in, I think we’re all better for it.
