Hard to say which is worse...losing your job, or watching everyone around you get the axe, and realizing that you're going to have the be the one to pick up the pieces around the decimated office. I didn't want to go into details on that, but it sounds like the company tried very hard to make things equitable for those affected by the RiF.

My sister-in-law was one of the unfortunate victims. She got a decent severage package, though, so if she can find gainful employment in the short to medium term, the holidays should be salvageable.

But yeah.
