blob — Wearing a jacket makes the untucked shirt awkward whether you’re a leather-clad motorcycle badass or not. I always feel like a slob when I put my jacket on over an untucked shirt.

I, too, struggle to overcome the tucking compulsion.

I have found that it is useful to wear a second shirt, tucked, underneath the shirt to be left untucked. I therefore have the comfort and security of tucking, while leaving the outer shirt in its untucked glory.

Unfortunately, this revelation comes at a time when I have begun wearing a motorcycle jacket that practically requires that I wear tucked shirts. It looks a little funny to have a bit of shirt sticking out the bottom of the jacket and flopping around.
