@Seestor — Yes, he's been easing into it. Or had been until Friday. Laura said he was asking questions about who was "inside" Darth Vader, and he watched the entirety of The Empire Strikes Back while I was at work. I'm not sure he quite gets it yet, but the pieces are definitely starting to fall into place.

@Seestor — A lot of the usual "who is that?" and "what's he doing?" stuff, but I'm not quite sure he's figured out that Darth Vader is a bad guy yet, so he asked a lot about why Vader was doing things. I've only shown him bits and pieces of The Empire Strikes Back and Return of the Jedi, so he had questions about why Luke was talking to Yoda and such, too. And the "Empire" (Emperor) is another character that generates questions.

@Greg — Kyle isn't quoting Palpatine or Ackbar, but we did watch A New Hope together last weekend and I showed him the Dagobah scenes from The Empire Strikes Back because I thought he'd get a kick out of Yoda. I thought his attention would wander more than it did, and I was a little surprised at some of the questions he was asking while we watched; the way his mind works never ceases to amaze me. I'm sure you've experienced the same thing with Lia and the more she's able to communicate the more she'll surprise you.

Pride in the child is something I get 100%. Although the geekiness has yet to emerge, I’m proud that Lia has about 55% of her ABCs at 20 months. Soon she’ll be reciting Darth Vader’s soliloquy above Endor.
